Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Lourdes' commitment and success in implementing excellent care for stroke patients according to evidence-based guidelines.
Get With The Guidelines (GWTG) is a quality improvement program that helps ensure that hospitals' treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure and stroke is aligned with the most current scientific guidelines and evidence-based therapies.
The Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award is conferred on hospitals that attain 85 percent or higher adherence to all GWTG-Stroke performance measures for two or more consecutive 12-month intervals and accomplish 75 percent or higher compliance with six of 10 GWTG initiatives that measure quality of stroke care.
