Lourdes Names Chief Nursing Officer/Vice President of Education and Research

Camden -- Anne M. McGinley, PhD, RN, APN,C has been
named Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Education and Research for the Lourdes Health System, announced health system President and CEO Alexander J. Hatala. Dr. McGinley has been the dean of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing since 2008.
"Dr. McGinley has been a nurse for 35 years and her experience spans clinical practice, administration and education," said Hatala. "As Lourdes continue to focus on providing value-driven, patient-centered care, her knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset to our Patient Care Services division."
Dr. McGinley came to Lourdes from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Nursing where she was Assistant Dean and an Assistant Professor for the Stratford campus. She was previously the Director of the Undergraduate Nursing Programs at Thomas Jefferson University as well as the assistant program director of the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
She received her diploma in nursing from Northeastern Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University, Abington, PA. She obtained both her Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, Philadelphia. In addition she holds post-master's certification in nursing education and nursing administration.
Dr. McGinley is an Advanced Practice Nurse and is certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Prior to obtaining her PhD she spent many years in nursing leadership and administrative roles at Northeastern Hospital in Philadelphia. She is on the Boards of the Organization of Nurse Executives, New Jersey and the American Cancer Society, South Jersey Division and was previously the Editor of the Research Corner for The Institute for Nursing Newsletter. She is a member of numerous professional organizations including: Sigma Theta Tau International; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses; the American Nurses Association; the New Jersey State Nurses Association, and the New Jersey Organization of Nurse Executives.
