Proceeds from Event Benefit Lourdes Breast Cancer Imaging Center
WHAT: Honorary Chairpersons Ron and Liz Jaworski, guest chef Georges Perrier, and more than 400 regional medical and business leaders will be in attendance at Lourdes Health Foundation's annual fundraising gala and silent auction, "The Dance 2011 – April in Paris." Proceeds from black tie event benefit the Breast Cancer Imaging Center at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, as well community programs and services. At the event, two Lourdes physicians will be honored with the esteemed Healing Spirit Award – Drs. Kathleen Greatrex and Albert Talone. The award is given to a physician who exemplifies Lourdes' mission and core values of compassion, commitment, integrity, excellence and stewardship.

Kathleen V. Greatrex, M.D., of Haddonfield, is chief of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center and a leading expert in breast imaging. At Lourdes, Dr. Greatrex was the first female president of the medical staff in the 60-year history of the hospital. She currently serves on the board of the Lourdes Health Foundation and the medical advisory board of Susan G. Komen For The Cure and is a member of the Mammography Society of Philadelphia and the Union League of Philadelphia. She also is the recipient of South Jersey Magazine's 2010 "Top Female Physicians." Dr. Greatrex was also born at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.
Albert Talone, D.O., of Moorestown, is a primary care physician who has provided compassionate and dedicated healthcare to the Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County community for more than 35 years. Talone served as a medical specialist airman in the United States Air Force Reserve during the Vietnam War. During Governor Jim Florio's administration, he was appointed to the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and as a trustee to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Currently, Dr. Talone is also the medical director of Sunset Medical Association and the New Jersey Visiting Nurses Association for Hospice.
The annual fundraising event typically raises more than $100,000 for Lourdes programs and services.
