On the heels of health care reform and in line with the growing trend of convenient and accessible patient care, Haddonfield Internal Medicine of Lourdes Medical Associates (LMA), an affiliate of Lourdes Health System, has made a logistical move that new and old patients alike can appreciate.

As of early this year, Haddonfield Internal Medicine consolidated its two-office practice into one new location just 100 yards north of Westmont Station. Not only is the location ideal for those taking the train or riding the bus, but the office's extended hours of operation allow travelers to visit the doctor either before or after work. The office also boasts a large parking lot with handicap accessibility including electric wheelchairs and ramps.

"Our basic mission is to make medicine convenient for the patient, not for the doctor," says Steven Fox, MD, FACC, President of Lourdes Medical Associates. "With an office location right next to a major access point, Haddonfield Internal Medicine hopes to help more patients focus on their health and staying well." He adds, "The average person working a nine-to-five job has to take time off to see a doctor and because of this, many individuals choose to neglect their health. Haddonfield Internal Medicine's location and extended office hours allow people to make their health a priority at a time that works for them without the need to take off of work."

The multi-disciplinary practice is open five days a week from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is well served with three internists and the upcoming addition of a rheumatologist. Haddonfield Internal Medicine is a considered a one-stop shop for adult patients, offering everything from prevention to detection and treatment of a wide-range of illnesses such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), thyroid conditions and cancer, treatment for rheumatic diseases such as arthritis and osteoporosis, as well as a full-range of primary care services.
