Look Good… Feel Better Program

Held in the Cancer Community Room at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, this program is a free public service program to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives. The program was founded by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA) Foundation and is offered in partnership with the ACS and the National Cosmetology Association. It is facilitated by licensed volunteer cosmetologists who have been certified in the program. Women learn how to enhance their appearance using makeup techniques and how to disguise hair loss using wigs, turbans and scarves. Each woman receives make-up donated by the cosmetic industry and samples are provided to take home.
